Branding Photos | David B. Dobbin Home DesignI love working on Branding Photos with small business owners. It takes creativity, passion and whole lot moxie to say to the world, I love what I do, and I want to do it my way, and then go into business for yourself. Great branding photos really show off what you do and how much you love doing it!

David B. Dobbin is a home designer and while we were planning the branding photos for his new website and social media campaigns, we chatted about his style and how he loves to create what his clients envision, whether they are looking for a modest home or something that will elevate the neighborhood.  On the day of the shoot, I visited his home office and did some headshots, photos of him doing what he does best, and took some stock style images for the website!

I like to deliver a variety of each kind of image so that when the images are used either on a website or on social media, there are plenty of options to fit the space and context it is needed for!

 

Luckily, David’s work space made these branding photos easy to photograph. His office is a great bright space and it is incredibly organized! Occasionally, when I am shooting branding photos we need to move to a different location to find a space suitable for photos. However, his home office was perfect for his session!

With plenty of on-location headshots and stock style images, we headed off to one of David’s current projects!

This brand new construction on Circular Road in St. John’s, is not just huge, but it is also incredibly beautiful. All of the design elements that went into this new home construction make it blend  well in this historic neighbourhood -one of the nicest areas of the city.

Because the home is still under construction, I had the unique opportunity to do some more branding photos inside of the house and show the ‘in-progress’ stage. I love that this home offers such incredible natural light, but also afforded me the construction backdrop that I really think helps to tell the story of what David’s business actually does! 

Before we finished off our branding photo shoot, we took a little walk around the outside of the home so that I could photograph different elements that make up the character of this absolutely beautiful project!
